Hailee Steinfeld Love

Looks like I’m psychic.

After previously posting the first two Love covers featuring Chloe Moretz and Elle Fanning, I predicted that Hailee Steinfeld, aged 14, should’ve been included.  Hollywood seems to agree as the third cover for the magazine’s issue has been released featuring none other than True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld herself.

The trio seem to be popping up everywhere together, I guess Hollywood seems to be grouping them into Hollywood’s Next Wave of Youngsters as they were recently featured in a spread for Vogue.

I can’t say I blame them.  These three are a powerful bunch both in the acting world and the fashion world, with Chloe working on movies, and Elle and Steinfeld working on ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu.

I’m even beginning to love their fashion choices.

Do you think these stars deserve this recognition?  Or are they just another Hollywood obsession?

Harry Potter Withdrawals

So with Harry Potter actually over (but still continuing to make millions of dollars in the cinemas) I just wanted to give my few cents on the final film.

It’s no surprise that I loved it, it was heartbreaking, epic and full of action.  But I think I speak for all Potter fans where it was Neville’s transformation from a bumbling side character to a complete hero in the final film which cemented our love for the series.

If anything though, I think David Yates improved on the final book – it wasn’t particularly my favourite – and one subplot that really proved that to me was the inclusion of Neville admitting that he was in love with Luna.  This had me squealing in my seat during the movie and the end side glance between them really did it for me.  This relationship never came to fruition in the book and I’d like to believe that it’s because Rowling realized that she missed a great opportunity and saw the great chemistry between Evanna Lynch and Matthew Lewis throughout the series.

I mean look at them (above) they’re adorable!

Another thing which I found Yates did amazingly was the revelation of Snape’s true intentions.  The acting of Alan Rickman was phenomenal as always and I hope the rumours that he may be nominated for a Supporting Actor Oscar nomination come to fruition.  The movie also helped me finally understand Snape’s emotions towards Harry and the fact that the Potter community voted him the Greatest Potter Character of All Time finally made sense to me and I wholeheartedly agree with it (although Harry should’ve been second imo).

I don’t have really any criticisms for the final films, none anyway that greatly annoyed me (maybe perhaps Ron and Hermione’s kiss which I felt was rushed just like in the book) but I just want to end this post with one of my nitpicks of the film series:

That is why Richard Harris – not Micheal Gambon – will always be Dumbledore to me.

I’ll leave my precious readers with a hug from the evil Voldemort,

(Voldemort gives the best hugs)Best Random Moment Ever.

What did you think of the final HP film?  Did it live up to your expectations?

Harry Potter Bromance

Rupert Grint comes out to support his Harry Potter co-star, Tom Felton, at the premiere of The Rise of the Planet of the Apes in Los Angeles.

Awwww, Ron’s too cute with his shirt.

Anyone’s else feeling the Harry Potter withdrawals?

Chloe Moretz and Elle Fanning

Aged 14 and 13 respectively, and already more gorgeous and talented than half of Hollywood’s newest stars.  These two along with Hailee Steinfeld are the perfect trio of awesome and I just love these two on the cover of Love, a magazine I’ve never even heard of.

Are you a fan of Hollywood’s young stars?

Update: Looks like I’m psychic.  Hailee Steinfeld gets her own cover as well.

The Glee Project: Under Pressure/Ice Ice Baby

I am literally obsessed with this show.
This is their best music video so far this season, and Max Adler’s cameo is just genius.

Love them :’)

Glee: Blame it on the Alcohol

Spoiler Alert!

After an absent Kurt and Blaine in last night’s episode of Glee, the show will return next week for an all out wild weekend for the Gleeks.  And I have to say, I’m pretty pissed.

Judging by the promo, the creators of the show have gone out of their way to have Lea Michele kiss every new hot guy that comes onto the show.  Case in point, next week’s episode Blame it on the Alcohol focuses on the Gleeks getting their party on with Kurt and Blaine in tow.  A game of Spin the Bottle later, and Rachel and Blaine are getting their mack on.

As we all know Darren Criss is straight but seeing as how the creators have promoted the hell out of the fact that he is some ‘gay’ role model, let’s just hope that this act actually serves the show and isn’t some stunt to add some drama.  And we ALL know that if Blaine turns straight, Ryan Murphy will never see the light of day again.

The promo in question after the jump:

One Day

Adapted from the internationally praised bestselling novel, One Day charts an extraordinary relationship. Emma (Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) meet on the night of their college graduation – July 15th, 1988. She is a working-class girl of principle and ambition who dreams of making the world a better place. He is a wealthy charmer who dreams that the world will be his playground.

For the next two decades, every July 15th reveals to us how “Em” and “Dex” are faring, as their friendship ebbs and flows with the passing of the years. Through laughter and romance, heartbreak and exhilaration, they experience the grandeur of life. Somewhere along their journey, these two people realize that what they are searching and hoping for has been there for them all along.”

One of the movies I’ve been anxiously waiting for ever since I heard the cast.  Anne Hathaway, my girl crush, and Jim Sturgess, my man crush, starring as two lovers in this unique concept romance.

Directed by Lone Scherfig who beautifully directed Carey Mulligan in An Education, with a release date of June 8th.

Can’t wait to see if this will finally make Jim Sturgess a household name after his failure to catapult into major roles following turns in movies like Across the Universe.  So far it looks like it’s going to be a good summer😉

Glee: Special Education

Last night on Glee, Ryan Murphy has finally began storylines that viewers can actually get interested in!  Warning: Spoiler alert –

Following Kurt’s departure from McKinley, New Directions goes off into Sectionals and judging by the promos they will be covering no other than Florence and the Machine’s breakout hit, ‘Dog Days Are Over’.  We should also see the Hipsters for the first time and the Dalton Warblers with Kurt perform Train’s ‘Hey Soul Sister’.  Looks like it’s going to be one exciting episode!
